Is anyone going to be starting an I spy swap anytime soon? :):) Just hoping!

The coordinators for the last two I Spy Swaps got burned badly - some of the people that signed up for the swap did not follow through - and then the coordinators put in a lot more of their own fabrics "to make it work" than they had planned to.

The swaps are fun - it's great to see all the different prints.

Oh bummer. I didn't know they got burned. Next time I think everyone should send some extra squares just in case. So sad people don't follow thru.

The people that followed through sent in the proper number of squares.

Yeah that's what I was meaning :) sorry. Maybe next time the people that send in squares could send a bit extra to make up for the ones that didn't send any at all. That way the host(ess) wouldn't have to put in extra. And if everyone does send in then BONUS for the host(ess).

I'd love to be in on one.

Lovin why not host the swap yourself?

Deb watkins 10-07-2010 11:29 AM

I have hosted 4 swaps, and one was almost a complete disaster because of several who signed up did not even let me know they were dropping out! Thankfully, those others involved DID do more blocks, so it was okay. Swaps are very time consuming for the host, but I love doing them! I am a meanie when it comes to the guide lines though, and for the last two, it has worked out very well. I was able to get all of the blocks swapped and mailed within 7 days.
