I have a mid-size quilting machine (tinlizzie). I have a hard time finding a quilting thread that I like. All of the threads that I have used are very linty. I must stop quilting frequently to clean the lint out of my machine. Does anyone have a thread that they could recommend to minimize this problem. I did try King Tut thread and this was better than most. The problem is the local quilting shops do not carry this brand.

I use Signature and it does lint but maybe worth a try. I clean after each bobbin and that seems often enough for me.

I have lizzie and I use metroemb if customers agree with poly thread no lint. any of the polys leaves next to nothing lint. I also use the spun polys that actualy look like cotton. lot less lint there too. there will be no lint free threads as longarming creates its own lint from top batting and backing all made out of cotton. Hope this helps. p.s. Tin lizzie is considered a longarm machine anythign under 17 is mid and anything under 9/10 is dsm

Superior Thread carries the SoFine. I use it with my longarm and have recently started using it to piece. Best thread ever and the color choices are great. I also use it in my bobbin. I sew on a Bernina and a Janome and lint was a major problem before.
