I have been working on this quilt for quite awhile. I change my mind, frog for a week, spend 3 months working on something only to frog again. SIGH
I have decided to add an applique border because almost all my quilts have applique on them somewhere. I have almost finished the appliqued border all the way around but the batteries are down on the camera. What do you think...good or bad? I have decided I might put HST in the background fabric & same dk green fabric fabric that I used as a strip to stop the feathered stars..like maybe 2" or 1 1/2" size. (Will have to figure out the measurement) What do you think...good or bad? The fabric was given to me by good friends to celebrate a milestone birthday (75th one...3 YEARS ago!) I had never made a Feathered Star & always admired them so decided that it was a good pattern to showcase all those beautiful fabrics. Thanks in advance for looking & for your good judgment (even if it means FROG! :) ) Riley |
That is one big job! Amazing! It is beautiful just as it is. I'm sure whatever you decide will be great. I don't have any suggestions, what a patient quilter you are!

It's pretty, even without the applique, but better with it! Very beautiful!

let me stick my foot in my mouth & say i really like that first pic you took with the plain border....i think those feathered stars are fabulous by themselves & certainly don't need a fancy border!!!--although yours is lovely.....
WOW, i'm curious to know which/whose pattern you followed...i've seen quite a few & they are quite confusing but you did a GREAT job.... |

Great quilt and I love the appliqued border.

It is beautiful. It didn't need the applique border but since you already did it, all the merrier.
