This started in October and is closing in Dec. Anyone on the forum participating on making these quilts??

not this one, I did one a few years back and have all the parts of one from last year that I haven't even started.

Any particular reason you never followed through with the quilt? I did one a few years back. This year the blocks are very simple but some of the setting are very pretty.

I did the one about two years ago but never did sign up for any of the others.

Yes, I have about 6 of the blocks so far. I purchase about 2 or 3 every time I get paid. Then I will have to splurge at the end for the finishing kit. I love the colors of this one.

It is a quilt you make by purchasing a block from 12 different participating quilt shops. Each one has finished the block and you purchase the block kit from them. Then also, each shop has done their own finishing kit version and you can choose which one of the finishings you like the best and purchase the finishing kit from them. The blocks are each $7, tax and shipping included and the finishing kits are around $65 or so. I have already picked out which finishing kit I want to get. I am going to finish my quilt with the finishing kit from Cabbage Rose Quilt Shop. I love how it makes the quilt look. The fabrics are really pretty. You can go to http://www.patchworkparty2010.com/ to get the information on all the blocks, etc.

I have 3 or 4 of these, just never can find the time to cut them out, sewing them together is a breeze. cutting is the hardest part. They are all beautiful colors.

I fell in love with the soft calming colors as well as one of the settings.

I have a couple of the blocks but need to order more before the end of the year and the party closes.

I have already bought the setting materials. I loved the "Autrey" setting from Everything Quilts.

This site explains all about the Party. Those of us completing one should stay in touch share our progress.
