I have to tell you that I haven't even started this week's blocks. I hope I'm not becoming like that other group of ladies that call themselves "Slackers" I'm trying to find fabric that resembles a sunset and I've been to 3 shops so far trying to find it. I may have to rethink the colors for #27. I'm coming down with a cold or sinus bug so I'm taking a few days off to rest and play with my fabric. Have a good week my friends! Anne

Sorry you're not feeling well. Thank you for posting the threads. Appreciate it.

I might work on my Jane this week. Could be a slackerish looking week for me as well.

Each to their own, it is suppose to be a fun journey for everyone. And the proof is in all the beautiful posted blocks each week. Results will be a sight to behold when they are put into a quilt.

I tell all quilt stores I go into, this is the best of the best quilt places on the internet. From Admin to guys & gals from all over the world..its thee place to be.

I am still struggling with this bug that invaded my space. His name is Tommy and he gave it to me.
I really can't imagine what I'd be doing right now if not for this quilt. I have to forge ahead a few weeks as I'm going to do some packing for the NC house. We're going down for a couple of weeks to get it set up for living. First time I won't be making Thanksgiving Dinner in over 40 years. It will really feel strange not to have the carcass to make my Mom's turkey soup.

What is it with me - I am having a problem with the paper piecing on #27.
I print out the pattern. Then when I sew it everything is backwards! It seems like the printed pattern side/the side that you sew on should be mirrored and the side that the fabric is on should be the correct layout. But this isn't what happens. when I print out the pattern the ink side that I stitch on is the correct layout - so if I place the fabric on the other side right side down and do the seams the block is backwards or mirrored or - I don't know what. Sheesh - what am I doing wrong???

I have the same problem--what I do is mark the sections with the color that you want it to be in the reverse. if a top left corner square is supposed to be blue--I actually mark the top right corner blue so that when I turn it over after it has been sewn it's in the correct place. I hope you understand what i'm trying to explain. Anne

I have also just read where some people print the pattern in mirror image. I don't think it really matters except for blocks that have a direction like the Darting Birds. So i'm going to try that next time. Tonight I have listed a bunch of fabric on the classified thread and I'm going to try to get the rest of my finished blocks scanned and posted. Too tired to tackle the sewing room tonight.
