Hi-

I am a teacher and have seen some neat things people are doing with felt boards/activities. Some of these sets are selling the sets for WAY more than I would like to pay for them. One person used something called printable iron on transfers..does anyone know what that is and where I could purchase some?

Joann's, Walmart and many other places sell these iron on transfers.
You run them threw your inkjet printer, and then iron them onto your fabric.
It works better if your fabric as been washed, dried and pressed. Do NOT use fabric softeners, they can stop the transfer from securely adhering to the fabric.
Remember to mirror your image, so that when you iron it on, it isn't backwards :D:D:D

This is just a suggestion. I haven't used these much but I know what kind of beating things get in a classroom. After you print the image and set the ink. Fuse it to a heavy Wonder Under or Steam a Seam then to your flannel. It will help the pieces stay stiff enough to use and keep from fraying. You might even be able to use felt instead of flannel and solve some of the stiffness/fray issues.
