Exciting new events are coming to Threads of Time!

Our first ever “Men’s Quilting Retreat” is occurring on August 18, 19, and 20th. Spread the word to all the guy quilters that this will be a GREAT event with Joe Cunningham, author of Men and the Art of Quiltmaking. “Joe, the Quilter” as he is called, will present a lecture on Thursday night, August 18th, 7:00, and a two-day workshop on Friday and Saturday. The cost of the event will include three nights and four days at “Threads and Beds Retreat, admission to the lecture and workshop, and all meals from Thursday night through Sunday morning. Fantastic value at an unbelievable price: $395.00. Space is limited to the first thirty-six participants only. Spread the word and call now to hold your spot. You can check out Joe’s column, “Biased & Edgy,” in Ricky Tims’ and Alex Anderson’s new magazine, Quilt Life.

www.threadsoftimefab.com This retreat is in Danville, Il. Their retreat center is fabulous! You can go to their site, click on retreat center and take a virtual tour. PLUS you guys get catered meals and their caterers are really good. It's not until August 2011 but if you want a spot you'd better call and reserve it now. The retreat center is already booked for the entire month of October 2011 and they are taking bookings for 2012 already! Just thought I'd let all of you guys know about this since us ladies have retreats all the time and I don't usually see a "Men Only" one listed.

They might, the rooms at Threads and Beds are non-private. While very nice and beautifully decorated each room sleeps at least three people with some having 4 and 5 per room. That was a little strange to me at first but after attending one retreat and realizing how little we actually used them it was okay. :D

You could get on their mailing list so that you get the notifications of when they're having the "Men Only" retreats. Once you attend one you'll probably plan to go back again and again. I know I have with the women's retreats.
