I got this on freecycle last week and was wondering who made it!?

The only marking on it is Model 6300-Made in Japan

All it needs is a new bobin and it should b ready to go!

Thanks-
Jody

I really don't know but it does look real similar to my old Coronado sewing machine that is also made in Japan.

looks like a kenmore from the 60's. since kenmore (sears) is made by any manufacturer that lowballs a price for sears, that could be anybody. great color! does it have the bobbin case?

Looks to me like a Morse. here's a review, looks like a terrific workhorse! http://www.sewingmachinereviewer.com...g-machine.html

It does have the bobbin case but it will not stay attached when I try to sew. I think the little spring on it is broken??!!

Thanks for the info. I thought it might be a Kenmore or a Morse but without a name plate it's hard to tell!!

i looked up 'vintage sewing machines' at first, but this machine doesn't look like the pictures of the morse that they show. this seems to be more angular. but maybe this was from another decade? i'm guessing this to be from the 60's based on the fact that it's angular (remember the jetsons?) instead of the curves that were found on the fifties machines (remember the curvy cars?).
