I found this funny mug at cafepress and knew my sister would love it. So I made a mug mat to go with it and will give her both for Christmas. The parts that look dark blue are actually purple. I have no idea why they look navy blue. I tried to match it to the mug as much as possible. I paper pieced the block because of all the small pieces and points. It is 5.5" square.

JoAnns had some nice heavy coffee cups a few weeks ago....I would think they are gone now tho!! One had a saying something like.....A bad day quilting is still better than work Quilting keeps me in stitches and there was one for a knitter too. I picked up several on Black Friday and used my 20 percent off coupon....orgionally 5.00, on sale for half off, it brought the price down to just over 2.00. A nice basket and some hot chocolate mix=one nice gift!!
