This week we have a Wings quilt block / a Combination Squares and Boston Block quilt block and another HST quilt block. Hope you enjoy them!

Please remember everyone the curves in Elvira are only an illusion. The sewing is all straight seams. No curved sewing at al!! The angles in the Wings block creates the curved look. This block is one of my favorites!! I love the blocks that look really difficult and intricate but they are really just easy steps!

As usual you can find my directions for using my cut down methods to make the "Blocks" by following this link.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/virtual...jsp?vsnum=1020

And you will find all of the weeks here in the Virtual Sections:

I encourage all who are working on the quilt blocks to post your pictures so we can share in the journey!!

As you work through the process on each quilt block you might think about sharing how you put them together. Pictures of your quilt blocks in progress are really fun to see too. so post on the Picture Thread for this Sampler Quilt! I look forward to seeing these quilts done!!

Hope you enjoy working on these quilt blocks!! If anyone has any question please don't hesitate to let me know!
Have fun!

More beautiful blocks Rhonda. I only need 3 or 4 more for my day bed cover. I've been working on the sashings. So I can actually start to see it all coming together. I'm excited about it.

Thanks. It is really going to be very pretty. There are a couple blocks that I had made that I'm going to use for something different. Not sure what yet, but I am loving the way it looks so far.

Here I am again wishing I could start.

It just dawned on me that it has been 21 weeks, it just doesn't seem that long.

Christmas is soon, so in a couple weeks, I hope to see everyones blocks on here. I'll be done with my daybed cover before you guys start. But I have ideas for smaller quilts I'll be doing.

thanks Rhonda. I love it. I just got my FW out of the box and tinkered with it a bit and adjusted the foot pedal controller. Now I'm ready to go. I'm going to try one of these blocks. I love your work.
