Just wanted to introduce myself, and say that I am really excited to get to know you through the Quilting Board! I was introduced to quilting by my neighbor and dear friend Manerva Mooney, may she rest in peace. At the time I was going through a very painful breakup and she rescued me by making me a template out of a piece of cardboard of the "Grandma's Flower Garden." By far it was the most beautiful quilt I have ever made. Before my mother passed away a few years back she had told me that; out of 23 grandchildren, I was the only grandchild who quilted! On a personal note, I have three children; a grown son, a grown daughter, and a 13 year old son. I have 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and two more on the way! I am very blessed! Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holiday Season, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Welcome to the board. It sounds as though you have a lovely family. We'd love to see a picture of your prettiest quilt ever - that Grandmother's flower garden.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

wow, Grandma's Flower Garden, that is a quilt many of us start, but never finish!
Your life sounds fun, like mine, 3 grown children, one teenage boy, 6 grandchildren... Makes life so much fun.
Enjoy!
