I am new at this. I have been wanting to make a quilt but not sure where to start(never made a quilt) not sure how to start and what kind of material to use. Asking for a little help to get started

Welcome to the quilt board, sent you a pm.

Lots of help here. Here are some sites to read.

Are you near a quilt store. They often have beginner lessons.

Others will have more suggestions.

Merry Christmas!

Where are you in Indiana? I live in the northern part of the state and could help you.

Don't worry, there are a lot of "newbies" on the board. As I read in one post, "the only dumb question is one not asked." If you don't want to post a question, you can search for a topic, and I guarentee that you will come up with MANY threads about that topic.
Happy quilting! and welcome
Steph
