At a recent quilt guild meeting a new member from another part of the country who'd joined that day talked about "PIGS" when she was introduced and telling us about herself. Someone asked what she meant by PIGS and she said, "Projects In Grocery Sacks." We laughed hysterically at that one.
I've heard of UFO's (UnFinished Objects) and WHIPS (Works Hopefully In Progress), but had never heard of PIGS until the meeting. Does any of you have another name you call your unfinished projects? I'm sure there are a lot of hilarious and clever names and acronyms out there - please share them! |

My husband Bill just gave me a new one from his model shipbuilding online group - WIPEs:
Works In Progress ... Eventually Several guys talk about having "WIPE-outs" in their workshops - which is getting done all those pesky little things that are building up in bac log ... so they can purchase more stuff to work on. Sounds familiar, eh? |
Quilts that are just in my head, not yet started (not even fabric bought) I call Brain Bunnies. They multiply sooooooo fast!
|
I call them "practice" for my dil! Hey, she loves to handquilt and this is a good way for her to improve! LOL

I love the acronym PIGS - project in grocery sack :D
I don't really call them anything special though... they're just shoved in a box lol. |
I call them by name. It gets them done faster. Can't call them PIGS in this part of the country...we have grocery bags, not sacks (don't have 'pop' either).
