A friend I used to work with told me the other day a guy asked her out while she was shopping in a grocery store. One time would be no big deal but she gets asked out at least 2 times a year ALL while in the grocery store. She's 53, this last guy is 36. Another guy was a bank persident.
All her "meetings" have gotten me to wondering:
1) How many others get "hit on" in the grocery store?
2) How/where did you meet your significant other?

My husband of 46 years and I met at church. Great place to find a husband. :)

My Nebraska hubby and I met in Chicago at a young adult square dance group. He was new in town and I had been there for a couple of years as a Nanny and had already found this group thru my church. So it was inevitable that this ND girl and NE guy should hook up!!

I met mine while working at a convenient store.

We also met at my work. I worked at Woolco, remember them, in the shoe department, he came in to buy a new pair of shoes to start an new job the next day.

we met on a blind date. The next morning I called my girlfriend and told her I'd met the man I was going to marry. It was March 14, 1975.

I was friend of his neice and she introduced us and my mom fell in love with him.....teeheehee, I won!

I met first one in school, knew him for 7 yrs(divorced)
Met 2nd one thru radio match program, widowed after 16 yrs
Met 3rd one thru Match.com :) Been together for almost 8 yrs - married 5 1/2.

I met mine at a friend's house. He was with one of my friends, but he told me before he left I was the one he was going to marry. haha sure enough it's been 41 years later.

I met my husband when he was installing the computer in the bank I worked at. We dated 1 week, got engaged, and married 6 weeks later. We were married for 36 years when he passed away. My brother had a pen pal while he was in the Air Force in Alaska. They got engaged through the mail, met when he came home on leave and married the following fall. They were married over 40 years when he passed away.
