OBW uses one particular patterned fabric and the pieces are cut so that when they are joined they form the various patterns you see in the quilt.

These are the tutorials that will explain better. Have a look it is quite interesting how one fabric can become a work of art!

OMGosh! I've never seen one of these............or I didn't know what I was looking at! They are beautiful. I love making scrap quilts, but this takes a piece of whole cloth to a new level. Ideas abounding.........Thank you! The tutorial is very detailed and understandable. I have too many projects promised to start one right now, but it will definitely go on my list of "to do".
