My hubby has a stuffed ear. The over the counters, don't seem to work. He's had this problem before so we know it's nothing serious.

In my family we used to lie down, put a Peroxide soaked cotton wad in our ear and lie there for 10 minutes, then change sides with another cotton wad.

If nothing else, it would give the ill one a few moments of rest!!!

We always use Sweet Oil for ear problems. Warm it first and use an eyedropper to put just a little in the ear. You may want to put some cotton just inside the ear afterwards. Sweet Oil comes in a very small bottle and you can get it in the health and Beauty Department at Walmart. Check pharmacy area in other stores. My Mom's Mom used it when she was little and it has always worked for us. I hope he gets to feeling better.

I just pour the peroxide in my ear - let it stay for about 10 minutes and then turn over so it drains out

Sweet oil is a great remedy! And according to my doctor, be very leery of using undiluted peroxide in your ear. It kills natural bacteria and can cause injury.

My son and daughter swear by the candles sold in the natural food store. Personally, I don't want anyone lighting a candle that close to my hair, but they did work. Neither has problems any more.

Sorry to say he may have a bad inner ear infection and the only thing that may help him is a long course of antibiotics. I had one 5 years ago and it took 3 months to clear.

Purreed onions, squeeze juice through cheese cloth. Make sure its not a hot onion. One drop in the ear as needed. Works, used it on my kids, it was like magic.

I'm not saying it doesn't work, but that's a weird one.
