I made this quilt several years ago. A friend and I drove down the Baja to Cabo San Lucas, we hauled a 23' travel trailer on the narrow whindy road... I couldn't take my sewing machine, but I took everything else and I hand pieced this quilt, while he slept. Well, I wrote the name of the town on the blocks as I finished them so I would have it forever.
After we got back I quilted it, put the binding on and then realized, I had written the name's of the towns on the back of the blocks!!! ha ha... Oh well, I wasn't taking it apart... so This quilt has a lot of history to it. Thanks for Looking |

Love this. You've done a great job and someone will be so surprised 100's of years from now to read the backs of the blocks when/if they take it apart. It's the memories that count, right?

Pretty!

Amazing! I sat in the car today waiting for my husband and tried my luck @ hand piecing. It took me 3 hours to complete a 10 inch pin wheel.
How do you people do it? |
Nice quilt!
Sorry the town names turned out to be on the back as I would have liked to read them. When we lived in CA we went to Baja a lot camping from the late 70's to the early 80's. Our honeymoon was 2 months camping near Loreto! |
