For those in the Shreveport, LA area, the Wal-Mart on Pines Rd. is closing out the fabric dept. I stopped by there yesterday and cut by the yard fabric was 50% off. I think it just started because selection was still good. I bought some but did not have a lot to spend right now.

another one bites the dust

Our wally world is completely restocking the fabric ... were going to shut it down but 5,000 or so women complained and they changed their mind. older fabric on sale now and new designs fill the shelves.

I was told the other day that Walmart has lost so much business from taking out the fabric departments that they are putting them back in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This came from a fabric department supervisor.

i was told that there would be only three stores in north alabama with a fabric dept ... cullman, florence and only one in huntsville. glad i'm near one of them! lol

The Wal-Mart near me had 50% off too and I ask if they were discontinuing fabrics. They said not for another year or so.
