I'm wondering if anyone is using an old industrial machine like a Singer 96-10 or 31-15 on a machine quilting table. Dh is getting ready to build me a table and I'm looking for a machine. I have heard of it done before but would like to see pictures of someones. We are wondering about how to attach the motor. I may possibly be able to go look at an old 31-15 this weekend. I'm not sure if it even has a place on the machine to mount a motor.

I have an industrial Singer on my b-line quilting frame. I'm not sure what model it is. It came from a garment factory in Canada. I will take pictures tomorrow night and pm them to you if you would like. The place I bought it from mounted the motor on the side of the machine.

Thank you that would be great!

Does anyone else happen to be using an Old Singer for this? Or another type of industrial machine.

suggest you post your question on one of the sites devoted to long arm quilting. My opinion is that what you want to do requires some special work to get it all right.

Not all of them have an oil pan. I worry that the oil wicks might leak on to my project.
