Today my great nephew was born. Noah David was born in the front seat of his mommy and daddy's mini van. My nieces water broke at around 4:45 this morning and he was born by 5:45. My sister was called around 5:15 to come over and watch the other 2 little ones while my niece and nephew went to the hospital but they never made it to the hospital. When my sister arrived my nephew was on the phone with 911 operator who was helping him deliver the baby. He had to take the shoe string out of his shoe to tie off the umbilical cord. Shortly after the ambulance arrived and off they went to the hospital where baby Noah and mommy were given a clean bill of health.

Oh by the way, his daddy was born at Disney World while my sister and her family were on vacation down there.

Little Noah will be hearing the tale of his birth for most of his life, I'm sure :) Glad to hear everyone is okay. Was the delay in getting to the hospital due to weather? And - congratulations!!!

No the weather wasn't the problem.

He was actually late. I think that he was just ready to make his entrance to the world.

My niece had been at 3 cm for about 3 weeks and nothing was happening. She was actually scheduled for a C-section next week.

Some babies are just in a hurry! My DD had very FAST deliveries with two babies after her water broke. Both were 6 weeks early...luckily, both times she'd gone to the hospital to get checked "just in case" and her water broke and the babies arrived fast. So happy Noah and mommy are doing well.
