Bisquick is a mix that we can buy here in USA to make biscuits, but also makes pancakes, waffles, and used for making cooked dinners too.
I found this recipe on the internet...there were others too but they make amounts like 12 cups and you need to use it in a much shorter time than you can keep a box of Bisquick. You can make it the proportions you need for your recipe: 1 cup flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon Crisco Mix dry ingredients together, then using a pastry knife cut the Crisco into the mix. Makes 1 cup Bisquick equivalent. Unlike real Bisquick, this has to be stored in the fridge — which makes it less convenient than the real-deal, but it works in a pinch. |
