Default Scam email???

I received an email from QB in the last 10 days or so regarding:

================================================== =====

" Did you know we have a mailing list for sewing coupons and deals? If you would like to receive special offers from our advertisers, click this link, select "Quilting Board Offers" and hit "Update""
================================================== =====

I'm thinking this is a scam.

Thanks,

thrums

There is a box to check when signing up to receive emails from QB about receiving offers from partners. It's in the upper right on the Daily Digest. I've never gotten just an email from QB about signing up for offers though. Just to be safe, I don't think I would reply to the email you received though. There are just too many scams out there.

I'm not aware that such a thing is sent by the company who owns the QB.
I agree that you should regard it with suspicion until I find out whether or not it's legitimate.

I sent an inquiry to my POC there.
I will let you know what he says as soon as I hear back.

From my POC:

"The text she mentions is at the bottom of every "QuiltingBoard" daily digest email send."

Did you see it in a separate email all by itself?
or was that just the first time you noticed it on the digest email?

The email I received came to an email address that is not linked to my QB account. I have since deleted it as spam. I just wanted to give all of you a heads up.
