cannot use back arrow in site again

cannot use back arrow in site again
this is odd. happened before. i come in and click on Main. read a post and click the back button arrow. nothing happens. i had trouble yesterday. i can go up to Home and start over. that works. but i got into a different forum and thought i would have the same problem but the back button worked fine there. So it isn't' my computer. odd. anyone else?
