Default Where did they go?

Were there more tutorials on the old board? Have they been lost or can they still be accessed?

If you scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on Archive, it will bring up a list. Then select Tutorials and there are over 500 threads to choose from.

Red face

Patrice kindly put a sticky at the top of the tutorial page that will take you right there. Much easier. Thank you, Patrice! I will admit I was thinking that I'd never remember how to find them

LOL - my pink-faced smiley was supposed to go in the post... Not sure how I did that!

All of the tutorials ever posted are still there. However, the system is set to automatically display only the titles for those created during the past 100 days. Why? Consider the following:

Members: 42,859
Threads/Topics: 152,865
Posts/Comments: 4,424,924
2,324 Users Online Right Now (776 members and 1,548 guests)

If the system displayed all 152,865 thread titles (therefore all 4,424,924 comment posts) for all 2,324 viewers, it would slow things down for everybody. During peak hours, when the Online Now numbers shoot up into the mid-to-high thousands, it can create serious traffic jams and headaches for all of us.

As of this weekend, a total of 5 servers will be dedicated to supporting us here at The QuiltingBoard. Even so, having all settings "maxed out" would almost certainly still be problematic.

Here's a tip to remember when you want to see the whole Thread/Comment history in a section.
Go to the bottom of the Forum/Section page. There you will find some adjustable view settings. Use them to call up as much or as little as you want at the time.

Off to try that now- thanks for the explanation Patrice.

As an aside, how come there are so many guests on here at any one time? Who are they I wonder?

I often visit the Board, but do not log in unless I want to make a comment. So I would probably be counted as a guest on those occasions.

I'm having trouble for the first time today. I go to what's new and read all new messages and look at the pictures of quilts. When I go there today, I am only getting replies to the original post therefore don't know all that is said and have not way of seeing the pictures posted. Help, please. Please send PM to help me figure out what's wrong. Thanks

OK, so went to pictures and in forum tools I asked to be notified by email once a day when there were new threads started.

Nothing happened.
And yes I checked, there has been at least one new thread.
Suggestions, anyone?
