digest?
 

My morning "fix" to the digest is not taking me anywhere. Is it down for the holiday or is there some other problem that I'm able to get into that site?

are you still getting the reminder emails each day?
are you reporting that they lead only to an error message and not to any meaningful QB content?

I too have not been able to get the daily digest since before Christmas. I get the email but when I click on the "Quilting Board daily digest" , "Page Not Found" comes up. I click on "Pictures" on that same email and I get the "Pictures" just fine. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

The reminder emails need to be updated in order to work with our new format. It isn’t something I can fix myself.



You don't need the emails to access the board.

We have never needed them.



You can add any or all of these links to your browser favorites/bookmarks, put a shortcut on your desktop, or (if you are a total QB junkie like me) you can make it your home page.

That’s the Archive, which lists threads in reverse order - newest first.



Newest threads and/or comments, all sections, newest first: Go to http://www.quiltingboard.com and then click on either “New Posts” or “Today’s Posts.”



Try using the direct route.

it's my understanding that the reminder emails have been re-coded and should point to either "New Posts" or "Today's Posts", depending upon whether or not you are logged in.

there will be no more digests.

did anybody get a reminder email this morning?
did it take you to "New Posts" or "Today's Posts" like it is supposed to?

if you got an error message instead when you tried to click through please forward that email to me at [email protected]

i don't get the emails so need one as an example.

the link is working exactly as it should.

the Digest page no longer exists.
the Digest page never listed the latest new anything.
it only listed a few threads from each section that had the most views.
as a result, there was little to no difference in the lists from day to day.

the emails will now take you directly to either the "New Posts" or "Today's Posts" page - depending upon whether you are logged into the QB.
these lists are far superior to the digests.
while not broken down into section, they are truly new.
they are customized to you and update themselves automatically as you click through to read anything that catches your eye.
if you want to know which section a list item is in, just look to the right. there's a column with that information.

once you get used to the difference in appearance, it will be more efficient and useful than the digest pages used to be.
just give it a fair chance.

the cause and solutions are often different for some members than they are for other.
