Fabric

I haven't been here in awhile but are there any threads where members can buy and sell their fabric?

I think you still can. What are you looking for?

Do you need 'X' number of posts to qualify for selling? Seems I remember something like that from a while back.

You'd probably be better off joining one of the stash sale groups on Facebook, for buying and selling. There are loads of restrictions here.

Some of the bigger groups are, "Sew It's For Sale", and "Fabric Destashing". There is also "Leesa's Fabrics" for buying only. You need to click on "join group" to be able to buy and sell.

Read the guidelines and decide if you want to try.

Lots and lots and lots of restrictions - also, the intent is to for sellers to price their stuff for "end of the sale garage sale prices"

To add a somewhat unbiased comment with this post -about why the restrictions were put in place - there were some sellers that abused the privilege. (Example: reselling fabric that cost $2.00 (not on sale!) at a big box store for $8.00 for four fat quarters of the same fabric.)

A related question:

If one is responding to an "in search of" post - are there any QB restrictions on what the seller can ask for the item?

Or is it strictly between the searcher and the current owner of the item?

Fabric has relative worth. While I give away a lot of fabric, and mostly I pay the postage myself, I have a couple of pieces that I do place a dollar amount on. A pretty high dollar amount. An amount higher than I'd be willing to pay even, but that's what it would cost to get it from me to you.
