How do I refresh a page?

While reading a rather lengthy post and then taking several minutes to compose my reply I got a message to "sign in" or "refresh" the page. I was already signed in so I looked for a refresh button but couldn't find it so I just got out without posting my reply. Where is this refresh button?

to refresh a page you hit the F5 key.
i would expect that to wipe out the text you had typed in, but i could be wrong.

i have not heard of this problem before, so i'm in the dark.
i will have to consult tech support.

in the meantime - if it happens again, highlight and copy everything you have typed in.
then copy it (Ctrl+C)
F5 (if you get a box asking whether you want to leave the page or stay, select stay)
if the text has disappeared, paste it back into the now empty dialog box. (Ctrl+V)
then post

I had that happen to me when I went to post my reply. I just signed in again and it posted the reply.

It think that sometimes I have used the back arrow and it will have something about if you want to restore "auto Saved" reply.
