invalid thread
I really enjoy the digest but it's not uncommon to click on a thread that tells me it's invalid. Why? And then why let it take up space that a "good" topic could be posted?
|
I would also like the answer to this question. Lately its been happening frequently
|
I have wondered that too. Why put it in if it is invalid?
|
It's the moderators who delete the threads. They find something in the post that is against the rules of the Quilting Board, as in someone trying to sell something. The rules are here somewhere. Then they delete it.
|
if somebody posts something in the wrong place, we move it.
if it does not comply with the rules and cannot be fixed, we delete it. the rules are here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1/announcements.htm when users rely on the digest lists of links they are relying upon something that is already out of date within seconds of "going live." use "What's New" instead. |
I'm sure this is in the rules section, but many times it is posting photos, patterns where permissions are not given by the original designer/maker of a quilt or pattern....Patrice is only protecting you and the board.

Thank you to Patrice and the Board for keeping this site going. Where would we be without them and their diligence? This is a wonderful site.

Yes, thanks to Patrice and all the moderators - this is a great place to be - the only trouble I find is that I spend far too much time reading all the posts !!
Merry Christmas and all best wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year to you all ! |
