I know what you mean, as I am having the same trouble.

I had the same problem and the moderator fixed it for me - I was missing the little toolbar above the message blank. If you have that toolbar, then it's the third from the right icon that has a small tree in it.

if you do not see icons above your typing box, go to Settings, General Settings and scroll way down. Choose WYSIWYG and be sure to save your changes. Now you should see your icons. To add pics, the best way is to use the tree in the picture frame icon. HTH

Comment on *Choose WYSIWYG* QuiltnNan posted as above...

A t
idbit from the past..... WYSIWYG* pronounced like its spelled... **whissywig** (WYSIWYG)... hee hee... Its an acronym for... *What You See Is What You Get* a computer term that goes back at least 18 years to me, and probably longer.... LOL

Well, I did all that and I still don't have any icons...

Do you have the current version of whatever browser you use? I didn't see them with IE8 but they appeared when I upgraded to IE9.

Do you have blank lines up above where you type, where the icons might be "hiding"? Slide (don't click) your mouse over those lines, and although you won't see the icons, text will appear where they should be. When the words "insert image" pops up, left click on it. See if that works for you.

I also have tried to post pics, I have the icon bar but when I try to upload the pic it tells my the upload failed!

Debbie, usually that means that the file (picture) is too big. Have you tried to resize it?
