new member, not receiving anything from QB

I joined the QB a week or so ago but so far haven't received any email info from the Board. I would like to receive the Daily Digest, etc. (I just sent this same inquiry to: [email protected] so maybe I will hear back that way). Thanks for help!

You don't really need any e-mail info from the Board to enjoy it .

In fact, you miss out on some of the goodies if that's what you rely on.

I just Google www.quiltingboard.com and sign in. I go to all the different sections that interest me. My anti virus/ad blocker does not like the daily digest so I skip it.

If you will add the quilt board addy to your address book, ....it maybe is being considered spam by your server. Also, if you have a spam folder check there. But It is most likely because you have not entered it into your approved mail list.

I should add that some of us--me especially-- never has to worry if I've approved a sender...my server will dump anything with my email address into my inbox!!

Registration for the emails is different to, and separate from, registration to be a member of The QuiltingBoard.

To register for the email reminders, use the box in the upper left of the Home page.

The first and most important thing to remember is that the emails are not the board.
They are only a link to a smattering of thread links.
They are rarely the newest threads and barely scratch the surface of all that's available here.

If you know you want to come to the board often, the emails are a waste of time.
they slow you down.
why wait for an email?

You never need those emails to connect to the board.
Just come straight to http://www.quiltingboard.com

If you like starting with the sample list of links, go to the Resources tab.
Make sure to keep exploring, though, so you don't miss any of the good stuff. :-) The Archive link leads to lists of threads in reverse order - newest first.
The Home tab is the starting point to get to everything.

You can add it to your browser favorites/bookmarks, put a shortcut on your desktop, or (if you are a total QB junkie like me) you can make it your home page.
