Pictures slow to load
 

Is there a solution for slow uploading of pictures? It takes a long time for them to come up. I didn't have this problem with the old site. Is there something I can do to correct this? Has this been discussed in previous threads?

Have you tried making the picture smaller? Several of mine woul not load, so I went in a re-sized the pics....I selected small web pic and large web pic, and both then loaded with no problems, Hope this helps :thumbup:

It is always handy to reduce the size and to make them into a gif. file - easier to upload to the web.

Go to your photo processing program and open your photo into it. Then go to the image size section and click on that. You will see the size of your photo.If you change the length of the largest side to no more than 2,000 pixels the size should not be too large. You can make it smaller if you want. Then when you save it, you can save it in any format that you want by clicking on the arrow in the box that says 'save as'.
Some programs have a command that says 'save for web and devices' which is generally under the FILE column. Click on that and save it. then your file will be small enough.You can tell if it is a gif. or jpeg by hovering the cursor over the picture and reading the exif data.
