profile picture
 

I tried to put in a profile picture but it wouldnt accept it even when I pressed accept. The size is 61.2k or 640x426. whatever that means.... Don't know how to change the size if that's the problem. Any help will be appricitate.

61k is not too large. How are you uploading the picture? I just played with mine, and nowhere did I see an"accept" button. I'm wondering if you're in the right place.

Click on Settings (at the top right of the page). Then on the left, scroll down until you see "edit profile picture". I'm assuming you're uploading a pic from your computer? So select option 2, click "browse", which will allow you to select which pic you want to use from those on your computer. Double-click on the picture you want, then "Save changes". That should work.

Peckish, I do that but after I selected picture for computer it displays then I press save changes. Than it says no file selected. Tried it several times, same thing. It changes from the file I want to "No file selected "

Profile pictures must be 100 x 100 pixels or 64.0 kb (whichever is smaller) so I think the 640 x 426 is the reason that picture won't work. Take it into Paint and resize to 100 x 100 and see if that will work for you.

this is too frustrating, think I'll forget it. Doubt if I'll ever trying to post a picture of any quilts if its this much trouble... Now my profile shows the picture when I edit profile. But if I post it does not show up. Go Figure:thumbdown:

What kind of file extension does it have? .jpg, .tif, .png?

jpg. resized to 100x67 Browse, select from desktop. Apply. Then get message no pic selected:(

The picture that appears next to your posts is called an avatar it's not the same as your profile picture. To get a picture to show along with your posts, go to same place you clicked on to do your profile picture, but click on "edit avatar picture" Note: The maximum size of your custom image for an avatar is 120 by 120 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller). Once your picture meets those requirements, browse to it, upload, and apply/save, same way you did your profile picture.
