Question about New Format for Messages
I am not able to do a hard return to make paragraphs in this new message system. Can anyone tell me why? I can go on and on in one string of sentences, but that looks pretty juvenile.

I've never been able to either, but I'm not sweating the small stuff. No one really cares if anyone looks like they're rambling. They're more interested in the content of the post and how they can learn or benefit and/or help. Have a great day:)

line 2 line 3 line 4 do you mean like above? is it possible that you haven't chosen WYSIWYG? go to Settings/general settings and scroll way down. choose WYSISWYG and be sure to save your changes i'm not sure this will solve the issue... but it is one thing to try and will help with posting pictures also |
here is another thread with the same question http://www.quiltingboard.com/qb-help...s-t211116.html

Perhaps I am OCD, but I sweat the small stuff. If I cannot get past the writing part, I can't make myself write or read a post.
Just now I went to the settings again and switched back from WYSIWYG to Standard Editor with extra formatting controls. The warning there is that not all browsers will work with every one of the settings. The warning also says if you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type. That makes sense. You can see, with your help, I have solved my problem and am so thankful to have smart ladies on this board to help me. |
there is NO new format for messages.
the problem is the browser/version you're using. if you are using the AOL browser, switch to another. make that a permanent switch. if you are using the newest version of MS Internet Explorer, try switching to the Compatibility View. personally, i switched to FireFox a looooooong time ago. i never have the problems so often associated to MS IE's self-updates. when FF self-updates, the most i have ever needed to do is to close and restart FF. even that is rare. Google Chrome and Safari are two more browsers that are popular and apparently quite reliable. |
If I'm understanding, you want to make paragraphs in your replies or new threads. All I have to do is hit "Enter"

I am using Chrome and it seems to let me have a break between papagraphs.
