I Struggled with this after windows8 threw out my old pix software. Fhotoroom solved it nicely for me. PS, I would rather start with a lower pixel size on things I know I intend to post.

I agree that they are too large a file.

For printing ONLY. My DH is an editor for a magazine and he told me the high pixel size is only necessary for digital photos intended for print, be it a publication or if you plan on printing yourself. Lower pixel size of the file size we are talking makes absolutely NO difference when viewing and sharing photos on the net. I did exactly what Jeanne S did, I modified my camera to use the smaller file size (less resolution, less pixels) and there is absolutely no decrease in quality, clarity or resolution of image when viewing on line.

Sorry to hear that. I unfortunately can not help.

I have found that if I upload the pictures into my drawing program and change the size to pixels (640x480) then save it they usually load right up.

You have to use your photo program on the computer to reduce the size of your photos. If you rightclick on the photo then click on properties it will tell you how big it is. I usually make my photos in the 300 to 400 pixel size. not the 1000 or more size those are too big. When you change the size. I use Microsoft Office to resize and crop my photos. Luann

There are very good instructions on the home page. The size must be 640 x 480 to upload without any problems.

If you tell us what type computer, and which operating system, maybe one of us could walk you through posting a picture?

I copy the photo I want to post to my desktop. So when I want to find it I just go to desktop and click on it.
