How can I make the smilies work on the new board??

:mad::D:thumbup: On the "Quick Reply", just to the right of the giant A button, in the middle is a yellow smiley face, just click on it and click on the smiley you want. Pops right into text.

That's weird! I don't even have a giant A showing on my screen.

I'm typing and can see options above this-A/a B I U and smilie face, etc. Hmmmm.:D

as test - looking for a giant "A" ---------------NOPE!!! and if I go "Advanced", then it only allows a smilie for the title line........I'm with Ms Grace - not smiling!

I've long wanted this to work, like Ms Grace and I've spent the last half hour looking at all my settings and can't see anything that needs to be fixed, but I did find that using a colon with words then another colon is supposed to give the desired result, for instance, putting the word mad between colons results in :mad: and thumbdown between colons results in :thumbdown: and shock between colons results in :shock: but it doesn't show until you post or preview the posting in advanced.

Over the quick reply box, do you have a bar with feature icons on it? Mine allows for colour changes, font sizes,underline......SMILEY FACE ICON,Unlink, tree(insert image).....etc. If you don't have these features above your reply box you need to go into settings and press something. I would tell you what to press but I forget. Maybe someone else can walk you through the steps. :(

1. Go to "Settings" on the top right of the page click 2. on the left side of the page go down to "general settings" click 3. scroll down to "miscellaneous options" click ENHANCED INTERFACE....then save:thumbup: |
