Tutorials missing pictures
The tutorial I posted for QAYG has been stripped of pictures. It is useless without the step by step photos. Where are my pictures?
Another tute for QAYG posted by Kassaundra is also now missing its pictures. Tutes need pictures!! They aren't much good without them. Can this be fixed? https://www.quiltingboard.com/tutori...l-t283918.html |
Did you use photobucket? They changed some policy that affects pictures you try to share (sorry, I don't understand the problem very thoroughly). I had other problems with them for a while and finally changed to a blog which I like much better. If that's your problem, I'm not sure what you can do about it other than try to replace the pictures in a different format on your tutorial.

photobucket use to be free for a certain volume of photos, then they wanted a yearly subscription for everything. After I paid that, just one month later, they changed policy, and e-mailed me wanting more money. If I can't trust a yearly subscription price to hold for a year (and then introduce a price increase) , it is hard to budget. I kindof felt like my photos were being held hostage, so i had to let them go. It is more than an inconvenience but I can't work with these kinds of policy changes. I do wish we could edit our posts on the board so we could all fix disappearing photos. But for now, I just upload from my computer that I can control. If you have a better solution, please share. Thanks

I didn't use photobucket. I used my own pics from my computer. I took photos at every step of the process, in order to "teach" how to do it. Lots of pics are better than lots of words. Maybe I will just post the whole document again.

And now my pictures are back. Apparently, it can be fixed! :o

FYI- Your tutorial has one picture when I use the link provided.
|
The only photo that I can see is the final one with 2 rows joined, and then your complete quilt, front and back. The photos illustrating the technique are not there.
|
I only see the one picture, too.
|
I also used my own pics from my camera to my computer file to the QB thread, mine have been gone for a few weeks. A Mod contacted me saying she would re add them, but I haven't found them (the "originals") I have thousands of pics on several cards.
|
So annoying! I do have my original pics. I may just repost the whole thing. :hunf:
|
I only saw the last picture no others.
|
Please if you can repost the whole tute with pictures I for one would love to see it. thank You Bonnie

OK, I reposted the tute and uploaded the same pictures again. Hopefully they will stick around this time. It is here:

Disregard the link above. QuiltnNan has fixed the original thread so the tute with pictures is still here:

It is a shame that the photos to accompany this tutorial have not been replaced too.
There's a lot of work and hassle involved in creating a good tute with pictures. And then to have the pics stripped (for whatever unknown reason) is even more hassle, finding the old pics etc. after so much time has gone by. It took me a good part of the afternoon, too. I'd like to have Kassaundra's tute to refer to myself, as it's a different method than mine (wider sashing). I have faith that her tute will eventually be repaired. |
I see nine pictures. Great tute!
|
Let's hear it for QuiltnNan! Thank you for all you do.
|
I was able to see 9 pictures.
|
I think i see them all. maybe because i subscribed to your post i think. hope they come back for everyone. notify moderators.
