Default games

Why on earth do we need games when this is supposed to be a quilting board for us to learn and show off our quilting and knowledge (helping others who are new). I enjoy the chit chat page and the what's new page, and the pictures and tutes, but never could figure out why we need games. Thanks, Amy

Because many of the ones that post on the QB are lonely and this board serves as a social outlet for them other than as an exchange of quilting info. The games provide fun and entertainment for some who do not often leave their house. Others may have other reasons for enjoying them as well. This board serves those of all ages, all economic brackets, all educational levels and all degrees of health or lack of health in our members.

It's true that we are - first and foremost - a Quilting Board.

We come together here to celebrate the art of quilting. The primary mission of our community is to help each other share and grow as quilters. We strive to create and maintain a cheerful, nurturing, encouraging, friendly and fun environment.

Technically, Games are not why we are here, or part of our "mission".

BUT the games are fun. They are harmless. They are cheering, friendly and fun. Sometimes they're even educational.

So they're a good thing.

All work and no play makes a very dull needle. ;-)

Games are necessary for each kids. It is good to mind and it will keep your mind fresh. I prefer that outdoor games are more useful for children instead of indoor games like computer games.

Mary, you can find them in the "General Chit-Chat" forum. Mostly word games, started by members as a thread.
