Not to bad for me...all purchases were for specific quilts I needed to complete. Still under $30 for the year so far, if you don't count batting. Getting the UFO's done and making simple quilts from stash...seems that someone always is ready to take whatever I make.

Thanks for the info Nancia. I have one of those although it is store made. A freind gave it to me over 10 years ago. I may still turn it into a quilt. The top is so lovely. I might post pic of it on here to get ideas as it has lots of cutwork in it, if I remember correctly.

ARRGH...I fell! Went to buy thread and came home with 4 metres of fleece. Couldn't resist, it's winter here, it was $2 per metre and our dogs bedding was in dire need of replacing. 2 metres is enough to make 2 dog quilts plus an extra pillow/pad (for the little dog). Got busy and made the first ones....will make the other 2 today - that fleece is not making it into my stash!

If postage wasn't so crippling I would. Cute fleece, one lot black with dog bones, pawprints and "woof" and the other brown leopard print. They were happy with the ones I made so far, our older cat has today evicted the smallest dog and is curled up in his bed....so, I'm guessing I did ok

Last week's quilt show had a booth with $4/yard fabric which would have been great for backings and I didn't buy anything. Now I would like to say that I had a lot of resolve but that wouldn't be truthful. I didn't buy any because the proprieter was gossipping with a friend and they would not move. I simply couldn't get to the shelves.

Well.....yet again, I am here to confess. Garage sailing again today. Damage done: 21 yards of top quality fabric for $39. Wish I could claim entrapment but the ad clearly stated "many quilting items". I'm afraid this may be a pattern until the rains start this fall.

emma s-- too bad you don't live here! the rains have started with a vengence ! it is part of the andrea storm and if it stays on it's present course we will be floating down to florida by mid-week! impressive amount of water coming down. this should make up for our lack of snow this past winter. here they run yard sales from 8am to 1 or 2pm, and frankly that's too early for me to get up, organized and out. what happened to all weekend yard sales? anyway, i have enough stuff to do yard sales of my own.
i have stopped ordering over the internet at night. that is my true weakness! i rec's some beautiful, co=ordinated fabric to make a watercolor wall hanging for my dear sister. she saw the design in one of my books so i will happily do that for her, and give the pink ribbon quilt to charity.( she is a survivor of early detected breast cancer, both breasts. my other sister died at 30 from breast cancer, so we were all on the alert. my mom had bc involvement in one breast only. we have all lived post bc, thanks to the ultimate sacrifice of my sister, hope.)
