Nice quilt Krista. I have looked at that pattern and thought twice about it, but your colors makes it so appealing to try.

Simplelife, ring ring again!

Nice job ladies. I am feeling left out because I have not finished any ufos since the end of last year. I still have nearly 30 to go, but slow at moving on them. My daughter did make a quilt for her boyfriend in Ravens and Broncos fabrics and quilted it this weekend. I got the Denver Bronco quilt cut out for the neighbor, his valor quilt before he leaves overseas, and then my row robins are coming along. I suppose the DQ I made for November's swap can count as a ufo because I was late on it, then I did finish the table runner for the swap and mailed on time though.

Ah, I will get in gear here after tax stuff is done. I can tell I do not have a goal this year so I am going to have to sit down and set myself some goals and get me a plan so i stay on track of finishing up the UFOs and scraps.

My first UFO is into Flimsy form! I just have to decide what to do for the quilting.

I love rail fence quilts and yours is no exception cattailsquilts! And, I think your hanging method for photos is quite ingenious too... do you mind sharing what you are using?

I just use some pant/skirt hangers & hook them on the moulding around the door to my studio. It lets me hang decent size quilts, though anything larger than that will have to be hung off the balcony... Eep!

Here's two coasters that I just finished, that are truly out of the UFO pile now!

My FIRST finish of 2013.

I am making 29 scrappy quilts out of my MIL's stash. She's 90years old and was worried about what would become of her treasure. I suggested quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. I will name them all "From Grandma's Closet".

This pattern is from the Stash Buster Scrappy MYSTERY QUILT Mini-train Ride hosted by PaintMeJudy. Sorry it's so bright.. but it is...bright... lol yipee fuchsia! This was my first ever attempt at free-motion quilting. I was sooo scared! It all puckers in the wash though so... (That's going to be my motto for the next 28 quilts...It all puckers in the wash...) I quilted stars and swirls in the star, free motion in the 9patches and a heart/flower/heart in the sashing. It was my second attempt at mitered binding. I was nervous through the whole sewing process. It's almost like grandma's fabric whispers to me. I remember many of the pieces.

Fabulous rail fence and nine patch stars! Love the story and sentiment SheriR.

This is the best thread and company around.

I definitely need to join this! Like the rest of you my UFO stack just keeps growing. I have several different stages of completion going on so my goal is to get each one to the next stage. That may be figuring out what sashing goes with a set of blocks and getting them to a completed top, sandwiching and pinning the top so it is ready to quilt, actually doing the quilting, or sewing on the binding. I currently have one that I just have one more side of the binding to do and it will be completely finished. Should have that one done in the next day or two. It is the one from the ugly fabric challenge. Really like how it came out. If I can figure out how to get pictures from this phone to resize I will gladly post a picture when it's all done.
