I've been working on a UFO-- another Tessellating pinwheel quilt top. Still need to finish putting the rows together. It's been cut out but not pieced for 6 months. I'm going to finish the piecing tomorrow and then will put it away while I try to decide what kind of borders I want to put on it.
I still need to re-do some of the joining strips on a very large table topper that was QAYG--was going to do that for the mini-challenge earlier this month but got that terrible cold and lost the momentum. Maybe I'll work on that this week...

Well, according to the definition on page 1 of this thread, i have removed one more UFO from my stack. How? I trashed it. Why? Two reasons: 1) it was a very small twister quilt top (my first attempt) and almost every time t cut around the twister tool, My blade would skip or veer off track. Looked really messy and some cuts were irreparable. I won't be ordering that bargain brand blade again! 2) the fabrics I chose didn't look as good in the twister pattern as I predicted.
I put the small yucky pieces in the garbage and the larger part in a scrap bag. i have no regrets. I learned some things from the little project.

I wish I could trash an unloved project like that, zozee. Kudos to you for letting go....I'm still struggling to find time to sew...spring work is coming into full swing...farmer son I laid up after shoulder surgery last week...I'm spending quality time with MrOK as we milk cows together.....

I also got rid of a UFO that I've had for about two years. It was a fleece Hello Kitty precut to be a child's rag quilt or some other thing, I'm not sure what. It consisted of 9" fleece squares with 1" cuts on all 4 sides of each square such as for tying them together. I didn't like the look tied together, nor sewn together, so they just kept sitting in the corner.
Yesterday I needed to make a backing a little bigger so I cut off the slit sides ending with 7" squares to add to the backing and make it the right size. The backing is done, and the UFO is gone!!!

Wildyard - that is a quilt back? It is too cute to be a quilt back. Congratulations on the finish.
Oksewglad - I hear you and am right there with you. The quilt I have been wanting to get finished still just sits. I just need to machine and hand sew on the binding. Now it is a King Size so the hand sewing will take me some time. However, there is so much going on right now that I cannot find the time to get down to the sewing room to get the binding sewn on. I do hate it when life gets in the way of sewing.

I've been chugging away at UFOs, getting them to the point where the binding just needs the final step of hand sewing. I have an 11 day supervisory contract starting in a few days. It will be very boring but it pays well, so I always bring a book to read or some hand sewing to keep me awake. So I should have 3 or 4 finishes within the next week.

OhCanada, I am planning on doing that very same thing. I will be traveling most of the month of June so will be hanging out in airports a lot. Figured a little binding work would help to pas the time and get some of the UFO's, as well as non UFO's done.
