I finished a quilt top and will donate it next week. I altered the pattern some because 2 sides of setting triangles pushed my patience!

It is 68" by 81".

All from my stash.

Connie what a lovely quilt from your sash. Looking at it you would never tell. Just lovely.

This month I only bought 2 pieces of fabric for boards on my Judy mystery #18 top. I have the fabric washed, just need to cut and sew to finish the top. I also bought a new sewing machine and sewing bag (the old bag is too small for the new sewing machine. Then I had to buy notions to go with the new machine, (needles, light bulbs, pins, etc.). So in the long run It would have been cheaper for me to buy fabric this month. I do plan to use the machine for guild sew days and 2 retreats I plan to go to later this year. I got tired of having to rearrange my sewing room after each retreat, which took me 1-2 weeks to get back to normal. On the good side, I made a 50 12.5" blocks for 2 swaps all from my stash and scraps. I also made 120 9-patches all from my stash and scraps. When I get the tops together I will post pics. I do need to buy blue fabric 4-5 yards to finish one of the tops. Later. I also signed up for a trip to Lincoln Nebraska to visit the Quilt Museum. So for sewing, it was very expensive.

What a nice sampler, Connie. And all from stash...thanks for sharing.
Monday I'm going to look at some used pantographs...haven't tried them yet, but think I will like giving them a whirl. So I will not be adding to stash, but hoping to assist me in getting some finishes done.

I've been back for a few days and can report that, even with the travel exemption, I did not buy anything. I did go in to the shops but I did not see anything that appealed to me enough. And, I was there over a month prior and already bought out their polka dots....lol! I am currently rolling around in my polka dots working on a quilt and do not foresee needing anymore fabric for it, including the backing. I did receive a lovely package from a friend from the board when I got home.......FQ's of polka dots and stripes...yummy. These did not go into stash but were immediately chopped into for my current project....as a matter of fact, I cut into them the first day. Lol..

retiredteach.....awesome stash quilt. The colorway is gorgeous...hard to believe that's all from stash...it's stunning.

Conchalea.....My heart breaks for your daughter and for you. Hugs!

I failed to make note of the poster who said she/he hadn't purchased fabric in 2 years...but....WHAT? How is that even possible? Talk about discipline. Right on!

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Got an email, my favorite, closest LQS is having a 3 day 50% off sale. I deleted it immediately, but can't un-read it! I will stay strong.

We took my MIL over to see some relatives yesterday and stopped for breakfast close to a quilt store. I didn't even blink an eye when we drove by. Did not have the urge to go in and blow my resolve!

On the upside, I managed to sew down the binding on the voluntold quilt (yes, I got tagged for binding too). All but 20" are attached on a 81" square quilt In One Day. Uffda! I feel rather accomplished. Tonight I will finish the binding and quilt a few more feathers to finish it up. Tomorrow it will go back to my friend so she can wash it and trim any errand strings. Saturday we are flying to Washington where it will go to its owner.

Then I can finally get back to my UFOs and current projects.

It is a lovely quilt. Someone will be very happy to have it. Finished is good and if setting those triangles was getting in your way it shows resolve to change it up and finish.

Thank you for the compliments. It was a BOW last year by Maggie ? and it is called Rest and Refreshing. There is a thread for this BOW with other completions on this board.

Happylab: Enjoy that new machine.
