I wish I were as organized as the above picture seems to indicate. What is not shown are the piles of fabric I have stashed everywhere, including the pantry and linen closet. That is why I need both the moratorium and the ufo threads.
But, I am making progress. I pieced 3 strip quilts from the hangers over the weekend and finished three other tops that only needed borders. I found two finished tops I'd forgotten about so put those on the to-be-quilted pile. I then pulled backing for all of them, several of which need piecing. So I now have eight to be quilted. I'll start tomorrow, and post pics as I go. My personal rule is a UFO is not finished until it's bound and out the door.
When all is said and done I will have used over 30 yards from my stash. Not bad for January.

I like to join the UFO challenge. I have 2 UFO'S, at least 4 WIPS and 1 mid FMQ with no binding. The FMQ is a little difficult for me to finish since the throat of my sewing machine isn't very deep. It s had for me tog to the middle of the quilt and its only 75x95.

I finished the 2 quilts for my mom, quilted a lap quilt and am working on the binding for now 4 quilts. I do binding totally by machine, I have sewn the binding the first time on 3 of the lap quilts. I need to learn to post pictures so you can see the finished quilts. Thank you for the challenge, hope I stay focused.

2019 is not off to a great start on the sewing front for me so far. ;(

I'm not touching my new machine until I have it serviced. I think it just needs to be pulled apart and cleaned, but I'm not brave enough to do it myself, and I'm not touching it until it has been cleaned.

My son had borrowed my Singer 99k, so I asked him to bring it back. I struggled for 3 days trying to figure out why my top thread kept breaking, only to feel really silly when I finally realized it had the wrong bobbin. SMH!

Finally I was able to sit and stitch away. I got to work on one of my easier UFO's. For all of a half an hour. Until the presser foot got all floppy. It has a broken tension spring.

**sigh**

**sigh**

Dawnmc, I’m impressed by your industry! You are moving along on your projects.
JJ, your machine troubles are sad & it’s not even a Friday the 13th. I hope you can get them fixed quickly.

Hi! I'm a new member, coming for motivation and inspiration. I took a hiatus from quilting (cataract surgery) and am now trying to get back in the swing. When I figure out how to put a photo up, I will show you my UFOs and WIPs, and a couple of started Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilts (note - Not finished, so UFOs!) I hope that I can also move along on my projects.
