I think I better get on board with this challenge... I have several big UFOs to get quilted: tops. I am only counting those for now, because if I start counting up all the little blocks and pieces that still need to go together, my head might explode. I think I might need to start keeping lists.

Good luck, everyone!

I think I need to join! I'm really good at completing the piecing, but just can't seem to get around to the actual quilting. Don't know why... I have a long arm and do enjoy that process, but seem to dither over the quilting design, or other projects need to be completed for a specific date so they go first. Have some tops that have been aging 5+ years... We have one more Christmas party at the end of this month that I'm making stuff for, but in February I really need to get started on that stack!

Ask one, PaperPrincess! I also finish piecing a top & then let it languish before sandwiching, quilting, & binding. But I do not want a pile of UFOs so I’ve joined this thread to help keep me going.

PaperPriincess, I like your use of "dither". That is me too. I so enjoy making the top but trying to figure out how to quilt the dern thing takes me forever and by then I have started another top because I liked the look of it and .... Well you know where that leads.

I pulled out a UFO today to see where I was at with it. I have half the top pieced and pieces cut to put into blocks to finish the top. I have a longer ways to go on this quilt than I thought. Hopefully I won't run into any snags while finishing this thing. At least I remember where I was going with the project.

I had a small pile of Jacob's Ladder type blocks that were left over from a quilt I made for my husband. Today I decided they needed to be used. I had to make one more, and add in a star block that was given to me, but I sashed them and they made a nice top that will be a lap quilt for donation. I'll show a picture once I get it quilted. Progress!

Good to read that everyone is focused on their pile of projects....good to see some new participants, too. I've been working on my one project in the evenings and almost have the center applique work done.....won't be able to work on much more...I packed up my sewing machine. So glad I kept the original box for that monster. Lol..

Conchalea....this thread helped me not create UFO's last year so I hope it will do the same for both me again and for you this year.

I'm cheering you'all on and eager to see some completions.

I absolutely love project bags. I have two kinds -- the larger clear bags from Quilt in a Day and smaller 9x12" zippered pouches I get on Amazon. I've decided to also count the strips as UFOs since these are not purchased but cut from quilt leftovers. I figure they will make 4 or 5 quilts. Whew!
I love those project bags. I can see all kinds of uses for them in my sewing room....not for UFO's, hopefully , but I like to kit fabrics together for future quilt projects. Way cool!! Thank you! I just ordered some.

Also, I was surfing the web this weekend and came across a UFO challenge by All Peoples Quilt blog. They had a link to a "project list" PDF that could be printed and used for the challenge. Some of you have mentioned making a list so I thought I'd share the link.. The PDF to print is on Step 1...

Thanks, Teen. That sounds really interesting but the link isn't working for me. :-(
