Trying to upload a photo of my finished Penguins flimsy... (experimenting with resizing photos as new phone doesn't do automatic sizing)
I ended up not using the official setting as I did not have sufficient of the fabric I wanted to use, so after a lot of consideration (and changing my mind mid-stream, i.e. after I had already sewn on the sashing strips
) I decided to do a couple of scrappy strips to liven up the otherwise very simple setting. I am pleased with the result. 
As yet I have no idea about backing fabric or how to quilt, but the flimsy is done!

Panchita, Love your finished top! Great choice on the setting! I have so many things waiting to be quilted....and then I started her 2021 monkey BOM.... not sure when I will get around to quilting mine.

Very nice finishing Panchita. Not too busy but with lots of interest.
I'm saving the Monkey blocks but not starting on them, am fostering a kitten and he's quite a lot of work though I'm loving having him to keep me company. Think pets might give us more than we give them!!!
Beatrice quilted my Four-Patch quilt, did a marvelous job again but with the kitten I haven't gotten to do the binding yet. Will post it when and if it's done. My penguins are waiting too.

I’ve been watching you’all’s progress and had to just jump in and tell you how adorable your quilts are.

Thimblebug - a seek and find quilt with the monkeys sounds adorable! I'm sure the grandbaby will love it. I have decided not to do the Monkeys BOM - too much going on to take on another project right now, but it does look very cute. I really liked the two blocks of yours that I've seen (on another thread) and I will enjoy seeing your pictures as/when you post them.
