Yes templates that you print off. Must be her paper piecing background that she likes them. Anyway, I like the patterns that say cut 4.5" block or 5" square and diagonally cut to make triangles, it's easy to measure without having to print a template off on my computer. Did you decide to do the 4 small ones (6" block) or the 12" block?

I haven't looked at the pattern closely. Would we then sew the 4 small ones together into a big block? I think I'll probably go with the 12"

I also signed up for newsletter figuring I could unsubscribe later.

I’m with Duckling. I prefer measurements.

I haven’t decided if I’ll print the templates or measure the templates.

If someone calculates the size pieces to cut without using templates, I would very much appreciate receiving them! I do not want to use templates.
TIA!

Here's a link for the Economy Quilt Block (12" finished) without the pocket:

Free block with measurements.

I think I'll do this one.

I can't seem to get my paper towel sample to turn out the right size. Has anyone else tried it?

You sew a paper towel? That's so ingenious!
I posted the link for the block at quilter'scache, did you see? Did that help anyone needing measurements? It didn't have the center measurement though.
Me too, I'd like it if someone has sizes to cut-- please post them. Did anyone print out the pattern, then measure the templates? I don't have a printer right now. I don't mind using templates, but the cost adds up if you do it a lot.

I haven’t ... but I am willing to do it. I’ll try to do it today or tomorrow. Lots to do on Father’s Day!
