I'm working on a baby quilt. I hope to finish it before our next block is posted!

Finally finished the May block. I followed DJ’s directions. Thanks, DJ! I’m glad I didn’t need to make two blocks.

That's a fascinating block, Bev. It looks like it's on fire!

This month it's another 'sign up to a newsletter' to get the pattern. I don't want to do that, so I guess I'll just make the pattern myself. I don't want to sew a folded triangle to make a real pocket to put something in-- although from her picture, it looks like she just meant a fussy cut fabric for one triangle that appears to be something in the pocket. I think it's a cute block. Quite large pieces for a 12" block, and the 4patch idea with 6" blocks will be quite small pieces.

This might be helpful: https://www.quilterscache.com/S/Squa...uareBlock.html
If anyone wants to do the math for cutting directions, please post! I will probably just graph it out.

This is the link today, but after her next post you will probably need to search her blog for the page. https://kidgiddy.blogspot.com/

I don't really mind having to sign up for things to get a pattern, but I wasn't able to access this months pattern even after signing up. I ended up at an error page. Has this happened to anyone else?

Okay, I get it now. The link to the pattern comes to your email address after you sign up.

One can easily unsubscribe to any newsletter anytime, so that's why I don't find it a big deal to sign up. I don't begrudge the designers trying to promote themselves through this BOM (that is probably why most of them signed up in the first place).

Joe'smom, I got the pattern today and what I found looking at the PDF is that you have to do the math to know what size to cut the triangles and squares. That is a first for me in a long time -- seeing a pattern drawn out like the old days when I first started sewing my clothes using Simplicity Patterns. Anyone remember those days?!

Duckling, looking at the pattern quickly today, I thought there were templates. Is this not the case?
