Dragonfly Nana, your little quilt will be so pretty in all the colors you mentioned.

RW, if you are anywhere near Seely Lake, Montana you would most definitely want to include a stroll through Deer Country Quilts. I do not have a facebook account but they say they are on facebook, if you have an account.

To me, it is one of my quilt-heaven experiences!

N2scraplvr, thank you for your kindness. I went back to look at your flower and it showed me that I need to look at my 'tiny' scraps a little differently. LOL, they could become beautiful pieces of art. As my Dad has always said, 'you learn something everyday!"

Question for you girls!!! If I did an embroidery design that I purchased from Dakota Collectibles and made a mini with one of their designs, do I need to ask for permission to use it?

Moonrise, I just looked at your quilt pictures -- fabulous! Dementia is truly terrible, not only for the patient but for the family and friends. And it is becoming more and more common -- maybe because we're surviving other things that might kill us! Glad to have you on the AAQI bandwagon!

I just registered them, and will post photos when I get the registration numbers. This is the first time I've done this, so hopefully I did it right. (Edited to add: Here's a sneak peak.)

Both my great-grandmother ("Mammaw") and my grandmother ("Granny") developed Alzheimers in their later years. It was heartbreaking to see them lose their abilities. I dearly hope that a cure can be found (and soon!) for this horrible disease.

Almond, I think that the answer is Yes, you do need to get permission, because the AAQI will put the quilt on 'public display.' So far, I've had no trouble getting an email of permission. I attach a photo of the finished quilt to the request, and explain about AAQI. You're only in trouble if you cannot find an email address to use.

What a fabulous collection of little quilts on this post. Good job everyone.
Just got a registration number for my quilt, and heading to the PO to mail it out. Will try to post a picture later.

Thanks! I'm eager to see the pic. Please post the reg. no. for your quilt in this thread or PM me, so I can add it to my list.

Leslie, registration number is 10,069. And here is a picture of my little quilt:

I initially had another one, but after I registered this and measured the second one it was 9.25 x 9.25! Ay ay ya, don't know how it grew by this quarter inch, lol, I was so sure it was 9'' (good thing I remeasured). Alas, I get to keep it, but will make a couple more and send them later on.

He's so right! I'm still learning something all the time! When you do your free form flowers, just throw ALL the rules out first, then have fun with the fabrics that already have flowers on. The sky is the limit to creating a beautiful flower!

********* I'd like to challenge some of you ladies in trying to create a mini that will be seleced for auction! I hadn't done this before, but now have the desire to do something outstanding! Will begin spending a little more time on each one so everyone will benefit, the buyer, the seller, and AAQI.**********

I hope your mini is selected for auction! Good luck everyone! Or it might be selected for Houston!
