Everyone’s blocks look great! It’s fun to see all the variations. I am definitely considering other options for sashing. There is just a lot going on here with all these bright colors. LOL.

TX325, I love the blues in your blocks!

jillmc, I like the grey in your photos; I think your fabrics provide so much interest, you could even get away with no sashing.

I realize this is terribly anti-climactic, but I have finally finished pressing my clue 2s!

The colorways look really beautiful...wow...just gorgeous. Liking the optional layouts too. So creative...

All 16 of my blocks are done so I am now working on sewing rows together...then sashing with the cute little 9P’s. I did not do the string piecing and I think it looks awesome......the secondary design really pops out....I can see using a striped fabric would be cool giving the same effect at string. ..so I feel better now cuz I worried... I’ll share pics on progress tomorrow in better light...

Everyone's looks so great and so different! Can't wait to start seeing the finished quilts. I had been making just slightly more than half of the units each week so I had more than needed for 3x4 and not quite enough for 4x4, so I decided to keep closer to the original plan/design, I'd go with 4x4. So I've made all the extra units needed for this layout and have assembled all the "assembly step one" Ohio stars. Might get some assembly step 2 done tonight too.

I really like it without the sashing. Your blocks are beautiful!

I’m really loving everyones color selections! After much viewing all around I have to agree with others that I am not a fan of the sashing blocks for my color-way and I’m glad I waited for the reveal before starting. I will mull over what direction I want to go as far as sashing. I’m only on 2 now since starting Friday.

Joe’smom, I love your neutrals! I need to stash enhance my neutrals with cuter prints. I think that’s why Bonnie's quilts work so well-her fabrics are awesome, and she incorporates a ton of “shades” of each color and they blend well. And I love your original layout that you did prior to the reveal-it would make a great Ohio State quilt-your greys formed a secondary pattern that looks like the “Block O”! 😁 I may need to borrow your layout!

This is what I am doing with my blocks. I will extend the sashing stars into a border, and maybe add another border using the blue rectangles that are already cut. I ordered more of the dark grey fabric, so I will work on the extra flying geese I now need and hope that it arrives quickly. The colors look dark on my screen.

The blue and brown colorways are so pretty! Can’t wait to see all of the quilts! There won’t be much stitching time this week-2 of our grandsons will be here for remote learning, grades 3 and 5. They are scheduled to return to in person school in 2 weeks.
