With my arthritis is is difficult to cut for any length of time. I find my Sizzix is a Godsend. I just pulled my die and started cutting. They just come out perfect, with no dog ears to cut off!

thank you!

is this a step that an accuquilt could be used for? I’ve read it a few times and am not sure how I want to try to tackle it. I’ve got two stockings I have to finish first so plenty of time to read and plan before I’ll be able to start.

Ohhh I forgot about my Accuquilt!!!

Just thought of something though- I plan to cut my squares a bit bigger and then trim them. But that's a lot-.

Not sure what to do. I like that Bloc Loc though. Makes HST's really accurate.

I have 2/3's of my 1/3 size finished! And my black constant is here so after the prewash I'll 'stage' my bits on that for show and tell.
I followed the link on the blog to this year's shared image site, can't think of the the name but after a minute I got a popup saying I had to sign up and I'm not bothering.

Here are my Clue #3 units. I used Thangles since I had the correct size. I like Thangles because they very accurate, the only thing I don't like is removing the papers. I am using purple for the blue and only making 1/3 of the units for now. I finally feel like I have enough parts to make a small quilt. I am used to working long hours on a quilt top until I have it completed so this a different experience for me. Maybe it is teaching me patience.

Sorry for the duplicate image, I had a hard time getting the picture to load, then it loaded twice.

I'm happily sewing away. I even cut the correct number of darks/mediums to go with my neutrals/yellows! Yay me, first time I've done it right the first time. Ok, I actually did cut one extra set of the yellows but shh, nobody knows

Did my first set of 12, found that yes, I am cutting large so I can trim down but I cut way large. Was also getting used to my portable Brother, it's 1/4" quilting foot is pretty good. The first set I narrowed it down a bit but now (especially since I cut over) I'm using the outer edge of the foot and am happy with the seams.

Goal for today is to finish the seams, easy goal I like them manageable. About 1/3 will be cut apart and pressed, the rest can wait for pressing tomorrow, probably cut them apart tonight while watching tv. I'll take them to small group on Tuesday for trimming and post a picture after that. I'm rather happy with this set/clue -- but that dark purple is still looking black in comparison to the lights.

When not working on this, I'm finishing up another project which I just finished putting together the center of the quilt last night, next is to put borders on it. I'll still need another project to work on concurrently with the Frolic project so think I'm going to make another one of the one I'm working on -- but with very different fabrics and a larger block size. I've been detailing that over in this thread, life is better now that I took the top apart and put it back together again!
