Nice to see that projects are still on the go despite the holiday season fast approaching.

I may be able to get back to Franky soon since all my craft fairs are over for the year.

I am finally working on this project! Have character charted into grid of squares. Decided which colors I'll use, (have most of fabric I'll need), and began cutting the first two rows. Will only need an additional FQ of Kona 'coal' (have ordered) and a FQ of very pale blue.

This picture is more or less what I have in mind - only "Hugh" character will be larger (33" with 1.50 edges = 36") and have medium grey background, no white.

Still haven't decided about border. Originally thought I'd make star blocks, but most I've seen use HST's and I hate those, so now I'm thinking maybe using outerspace fabric and applique stars onto that. I've never done applique and would like to try something new.

Lots of progress in the character stashes!

Beth33 ... Stars can be done with out HSTs. There's some pretty nice PP stars that you might want to consider.

Beth33, nice to see you have a plan. I really like the idea of outer space fabric. They make quite a variety. Applique or papaer pieced starts both work. Looking forward to seeing more pics.

Well, my 'coal' FQ arrived, but not quite happy - it would do in a pinch - but ordered another shade (charcoal this time) and I'll use whichever of the two shades I like best. In the mean time I'll continue to cut what fabric I have. I plan to give this to my trekkie brother, he wouldn't care about the colors that much.

Decided to ask Santa for a Kona color card.

I still don't have a digital camera but once Hugh's face looks a bit more like a face I'll take some scans.

Beth33 ... a colour card would sure be a bonus for online ordering. Many of the FWS and PC ladies scan their blocks to show on the threads and it works incredibly well. We'll look forward to seeing your progress!

Yes, Yes, Miss Peep has earned her name well ... and is boo-hooing in her corner as she watches this "character" take shape.
Anyone recognize him??
It'll be my offering for our "something you made" exchange at my "adopted" family's Christmas!

Looking for any input of ideas you may have ... as not sure where it's heading next.
Or what changes I will make.
It seems to be missing punch and pop, so I welcome any suggestions you may have.

Currently 21x41 ... goal is to keep him door size!
And preference to keep it non-Christmas, so it can be out all winter-long.

Love Frosty, QuiltE. The finished product is great! Very wintery and uplifting.

Me, I just finished a witch cross stitch so Franky is going to get some attention soon. He's been a very patient monster.
If you want to see Endora's Home Cooking, she can be found here:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

W4Me ... Endora looks perfect! The details are awesome and the backstitching enhances it all, so much! I only wish I could see her IRL, as I'm sure the online photo does not do her full justice. What size does she finish at? Now for the framing!!!

Fr♥sty ... I started a thread with the finsihed Fr♥sty

Though, I guess I should have shown him finished here as well. I didn't go for a lot of extra work with him, as I wanted to keep him door size. Just made it, as you'll see! And also, did not want him to have a lot of competition with other things there!

Spent a little time with Franky yesterday. He is now a sandwich. I know what colour thread I want to use to quilt him so need to make sure I have it.

After Franky I have to decide if I do a small project or go straight into my next character quilt which also works for the patriotic challenge.
